THURSDAY, JULY 11 6PM
Our July La Cosecha Harvest Dinner will be special. We’re combining our 4-Course Dinner and Tequila Tasting (Yes, Tequila this time!) with a Fundraiser. La Cosecha will donate 20% of the proceeds from this event to Sacramento Shelter Pets Alive, a 501 (c) (3) California non-profit.
Sacramento Shelter Pets Alive is run entirely by volunteers. They primarily serve dogs in need at the Bradshaw Animal Center, with a focus on large-breed dogs.
Dogs are social creatures. They need positive interaction with humans and others of their species to be emotionally healthy. Many dogs who have been surrendered to shelters or picked up by Animal Control are the unfortunate victims of neglect or mistreatment. Most do not possess social skills necessary to their well-being. Just like children in the foster care system, they need caring guidance to help them learn to trust and ultimately thrive.
Two of our regular Harvest Club members do just that. This non-profit works with dogs in need by:
- Walking them
- Obedience training
- Playgroups
- Adoption counseling to ensure a home is a good ‘fit’
- Out-of-shelter positive experiences
- Promoting Foster Care and Adoption through social media, bios and their website
Come enjoy a lovely 4 course dinner, handcrafted cocktail, tastings of artisan Tequila and help support the healing of some pretty special sentient beings in their journey from fear and mistrust to the joy of belonging to a family.
